how come it only takes a couple of flakes of snow and the country grinds to a hault? public transport stops running, the schools close. i've just got back from a week in Finland, there was tons of snow, it was -30 but everyting keeps going. busses run, planes take off and land. what is it with us Brits? do we have no back bone any more?

work sucks! you know i had this dream of making it as a writer. i have had my manuscript rejected four times. do you recoon i should give up? how many times do you have to try with it before it goes in the bin?
