COLD / HOT
@ Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 – 19.35:00
The coldest temperature i've ever experienced was two weeks ago in Yallis, Finland. -30, painfully cold. antastic scenery, great people. myself and my wife went out on a husky safari, a raindeer safari where we were privaliged to meet the sami people in traditional dress. we stayed in a log cabin in the middle of a forest, such a glorous place. whilst there we tried our hand at snow boarding. i say snowboarding, but you have to take that in the loosest possible terms, what i actualy did was spend the majoriy of the time sitting in the snow.
one of the highlights of the trip though has to be the Nortern lihghts, aurora borialis. we only saw them the once in the seven nights, and we had to hang around gazing up at the sky untill way into the early hours in temperatures of -24, but hey, we were wrapped up and had some good Finish Lager. what more could you ask?to the opposite extreme, a few years ago we were in Jamaica in temperatures of +40. most of that holiday was spent snorkling, the sea life was amazing. on one memorable night we went on a sunset cruise, watching the sun go down over Montego bay, several Rum Punches, and then foolisly jumped of the boat to go snorkling, the middle of the ocean our bodies filled with Rum. we lived to tell the tale...

Dodo burger and T rex kebab
@ Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 – 12.41:01
How come the Dodo and the dinasour died out, but wasps and woodlouse remain? At least a dodo and a T rex could have provided us with meat. what do woodlouse and wasps do for the world? apparantly more people die as a result of a wasp sting than are killed on the roads. there is a simple reason for this, we, as Humans are ignorant to the dangers and refuse to beleive that anything so small could ever do us any harm as we wack it with a rolled up copy of the radio times. at least if we saw a T rex coming towords us we wouldnt atempt arm to arm combat with it. :#

Hangovers
@ Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 – 12.35:56
why do people think that strong black coffee is a cure for a hangover? that is the equivelant of sticking a plaster over a gun shot wound. it may stop the flow of blood for a while, but the ubderlying problem is still there.

Book at bedtime
@ Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 – 12.31:45
Dont you hate it when you get so tired that you can't focus, and you try to read, but all the lines merge into one. i end up reading the same line several times, but try to convince my self that what i have read makes sence.

@ Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 – 12.28:58
Things might be as bad as they could posibly get. you're car is a right off, you're insurance has lapsed, ypu're partner is having an affair, you're home is about to be reposessed, you look like being made redundant but somebody will always say, 'Lets have a nice cuppa'. like that is going to make everyting allright. and when would you have other than a nice cup of tea? you would never offer smeone a horrible cup of tea would you?

@ Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 – 11.45:52
seriously scary....gripping......chilling....
These words you will find on the DVD cover for the so called horror film the dark. watching the cast interviews on the extra features the films star Sean Bean claimed that he had been so scared by the script that he wasnt able to read it in bed. was he discussing a different movie?
i dont remember the last time i saw a film that truly scared me. OK, Saw 3 was gory, but so is cassualty. gore isnt neccaseraly scary. Yesterday i was in HMV looking through the horror section and am amazed at what passes as horror these days..Tremors
