I have something of a dilema. 
It has come to my atention that our neighbours on one side are in a lower council tax band to us, whilst the neighbours on the other side in the higher band to us.
Do i get in touch with the council and query this? We may discover to our advantage that we should be in a lower band and get all the money back.
Then again, they may discover the error is the other way and we should be in the higher band, and that we owe them money.

Pro Apparantly there is some website where you can find out what band of council tax you should be in. I heard it on tv a while ago. Try moneysavingexpert.com I think they had a whole council tax reclaiming thing a while back there might be a link on the site. Good Luck you might be able to get back some money- yay!

Up your street the web site, i was thinking of having a look this morning when i get a spare sec. fingers crossed.

Checked out the up yur street web site. It clearly states the band we are in, and also the two neighbours. theree seperate bandings. i find it odd that the neighbours one up from us are in the lowest band and they have a massive extension on the back of the house, and have converted the loft into a sauna. Stil they have the lowest council tax banding on the street.
