    Yorkshire day

Yep, it's Yorkshire day. A fact that I was blissfully anawhere of untill I heard it on the radio this morning. Having been born and bread in Yorkshire, and living here for all my 37 years of life I have never, nor would I know how to, celebrated Yorkshire day.

How does one celebrate Yorkshire day? Anyone?

  • watch the cricket, drink a few pints of bitter, have some chips, and walk it off with a hike through the hills?
still remember my holiday in yorkshire this year, and i loved it, so i'll be celebrating today, somehow.

Fish and chips sounds good, and bitter, and walk in the hills, but we dont need a day to celebrate that, we can do that every day. I'm only an hour or so from Derbyshire, so we get plenty of walking in.

  • To celebrate my Yorkshire roots I'm having a week's holiday in the Dales!

By heck the weather better be reet gud!

  • You need to celebrate all things yorkshire like. How about a nice helping of Yorkshire pudding and gravy, washed down by a pint of Yorkshire best ale. Fly the Yorkshire flag on the flagpole, assumming you have either, which is unlikely, but there is bound to be someone, and maybe let off a few fireworks in celebration of all things Yorkshire. Take the yorkshire terrier for a walk, watch the cricket yes if it is on. Must be loads of things that are perculiar to Yorkshire.
You could even have a street party!!! Does anyone have them anymore?

  • eccy thump I never knew that anyhow have a reet gud day!

;) have a great yorkshire day :)
