Watching last nights X Factor has left me of the opinion that lowering the age to 14 was a mistake. 14 year old kids are not menaly mature enough to take that kind of rejection.

Also, on the subject of rejection. Those people who are told 'no' and are not put through, what is with the throwing a tantrom and hurling abuse at the judges, telling them they have no right to turn them down, and they are making a mistake.

"But it's my dream.It's all i live for.pleeeeze put me through."

or

"you you have no right to refuse me."

Do these people not grasp the consept of 'Competition'? If they put everybody through it wouldnt be a bloody competition.

I think lowering the age is a bit off as well, but what the hell. The sooner kids find out that life sucks the better I suppose.

We watch that, and I am constantly amazed by the self belief of some of the blatantly un gifted people who turn up to sing.

In fact, when it gets to the "boot camp" bit I stop watching and loose interest. But by then my wife and daughter are hooked and have to watch it right to the end!

So expect me on here a lot more when it gets to that stage.

  I agree with what has been said though, the pre-boot camp bits are the funniest as there as so many quite simply horrific singers, and also 14 is probably too young to be in the contest!

Oh, I think folk grasp the concept alright. At least the one that ordains a person who makes the biggest fool of themselves will be shown on the broadcast program. James.

It all makes good TV. We all like to see someone make a pratt of themselves. Its hard on the younger ones but thats life. I love it when they start hurling abuse at the judges. There is nothing like a bad loser lol. That Danni M is a hard bitch, another Simon in a female body. Cant wait until they all go to boot camp, get chucked out and all start grizzling again. Bring it on x

that's why I don't enter, because the consept of competition would be out the window, with my superior vocal skills!

I think the only reason they lowered the age was that simon was annoyed last year when that girl came on and said she was only 14 and couldnt go to boot camp. what a surprise that she appeared this year and they put her through do I get the feeling that she will be in simons group and maybe even win!?. we shall see
