In Sheffield a school lollypop man has been suspended indefinatly because on the lat day of term before christmas he wore a santa suit. Apparently this contravines our nanny state health and safety regulations.
Now the suspended crossing warden says he is going to defy the ruling, and will be there to see the kids safely across the road anyway.

You won't like this...but...if he was crossing your child..in Santa suit.and your child got hit by a car...driver not responsible! Lollypop man would be...and the council or whoever employed him would be sued by the driver and the child's parents...you! And you would jump at the chance as Mr lollypop man would not be wearing the required uniform...which...lets face it ..is designed with crossing people over roads in mind...white/flourescent...you do not expect red...you see my point?
It is a risk not to be taken. You do the job. You wear the uniform. Otherwise you do jeapordise safety. So..no sympathy.. sorry!

its bloody crazy these days isnt it ever since we had the idea to sue people then we cant breath these days without offending someone it is truely sickening !
