they said she was not ill, and that she would be better at home because there is a lot of infection on the wards.

bloody typical isnt it so much for the NHS sending people home because you are more likely to catch something at hospital than at home! blimey they will be doing open heart surgery in the chemists next! hope you are ok Mate and that someone is looking after her.

I've had serious food poisoning twice in my life- once in India and the other time after I had cheese on toast in the canteen at Bart's Hospital. Your mother is much better off out of hospital. They are are a real health hazard.
