A lot of people are against it, me included. I know thet have stood idle for three decafdes, and many say that they are a blot on the landscape but they are a landmark, as soon as you see them as you come along the viaduct you know that you are in Sheffield.
It is beleived they will be brought down by controlled explosion in the early hours of August bank holiday weekend.
I will be sad to see them go.

I don't like the look of them personally, but do agree with the fact that they are historical icons of the regions great manufacturing past.
Difficult call altogther.
I suppose they'll come down so the land can be developed. Money wins over ethics once again, it's sad to say.

Yea, I watched them on the One show.
Developers will use the land, it's right along side Meadowhall so I guess it could be more retail space, as if more is really needed.
