  I've had hundred of poems published and have only received direct payment for a handful of them, however I've been paid for leading poetry workshops and have received a bursary worth £500.
  
  I only write poetry and so simply discribe myself as a poet.

    I would describe my self as a poet, but I write a lot of other things too. At the moment I'm working on a novel, a couple of scripts and a book on humour.
    
    Sounds like you have had more success than me to date though.

  If I can call myself an international recording artiste, purley because Kizlode posted a link to a song of our old bands on myspace and a couple of bloggers in new zealand and australia heard, you can call yourself what you like!

  If you feel comfortable with it you can call youself whatever you want.
